How to point Viindoo system IP to your own domain name

Requirements

This tutorial requires the installation of the following applications/modules:

Viindoo Website app not only provides the subdomain for customers to use but also allows them to set up the website with domains they already own.

To point the system’s IP to your own domain name, do the following.

Get the IP address from Viindoo System

To get the IP address of the system which you created, you log in to the website viindoo.com → at the account name select My Account → Viindoo Instances.

  • Step 1: Select the system which you want to get the IP address to point to your own domain name.

Choose the Viindoo Instance

  • Step 2: In the Information area, you copy the address in the IP Address line, the IP address has the format 203.171.**.***.

Point IP to your own domain name

In this article, we will show you how to point IP to domain name purchased through Godaddy provider.

You go to the Godaddy website → click on account name → select My Products.

  • Step 1: In the Domain area, select the purchased domain → click Manage.

  • Step 2: Select View Domain Settings.

  • Step 3: In the DNS tab, enter the IP address copied in the step above into the Value column with Type A → Save.

Then, you can access the Viindoo system using your own domain name.

Note

With other domain name providers, you also access the DNS area of ​​the domain name management section to change the IP address.
