Manage sales commissions on subsequent order¶

How the system records commission revenue for the first order.
Calculate sales commission for subsequent orders.

Initial settings¶

By default, revenue commission is only calculated for the very first sales order of an affiliate. In order to keep calculating revenue commissions on subsequent sales orders, you need to disable the Only Calculate Sales Commission For First Referral feature by navigating to Affiliate > Configuration > Settings.

Calculate sales commission for the first order¶

First, you need to create a referral link. Let’s say we have a referral link like this:

As a customer visiting the website from a referral link, the purchase process will include the following steps:

Step 1: When the customer clicks on the referral link, the system will immediately redirect to the interface that the referrer wants to share.

Step 2: Customers need to select the quantity of products they want to buy and click on the Add to cart button.

Step 3: Customers make payment for orders via the Website.

Step 4: Check the affiliate commission of the referrer. From the portal account created by the affiliate, navigate to My Account > Commissions.

Note

Referrers will receive commission on sales from both registered/unregistered customers on your website’s portal.

Calculate sales commission for subsequent orders¶

Let’s assume that the customer has already purchased once through the referral link.

When customers continue to purchase subsequent orders, the system continues to calculate and record commissions for the referrer who sent the referral link to this customer.

Note

The referral commission amount will be calculated based on the established referral commission rules.
The system will record commissions for the last referrer.
