Applying Estimation in the quotation process¶
Requirements
This tutorial requires the installation of the following applications/modules:
In the quotation process, applying estimation plays a crucial role in determining costs, ensuring competitiveness, and optimizing profitability. By using an estimation tool, businesses can quickly calculate projected costs, compare them with benchmarks, and set reasonable prices. This not only enhances the accuracy of quotations but also improves budget control, giving companies a competitive edge in the market.
In Viindoo, depends on your business process or the specific business characteristics of your company, you can apply the estimation process with quotation follow two ways:
Do the estimation process, and then you can integrate to create sales quotations from that estimate.
After the CRM process, you can create a quotation and then do the estimation process for that quotation.
The first one is suitable for the internal use within a company (such as Estimate for the Annual Customer Conference or Annal Trips) or the sales process with no CRM process. The second one is suitable for the whole sales process with CRM.
Estimate first and then Quotation¶
For example: Estimate for organizing a Seminar on AI Applications in Business Management.
After performing the estimates (both sub-estimates and master estimates), you can press to the gear icon, choose Create Sale Order to create a quotation for a specific customer:



Press Create and then you can see the quotation is created, you can continue with your sales processing: adjust the quantity, unit prices and send quotation to customers.

Note
From one estimate, you can link with many sales orders of different customers.
Quotation first and then Estimate¶
For example, when selling customized products, you need a different estimation each time, such as the service of developing features upon request.
After CRM process, you create a quotation, on the quotation’s interface, you can see the button to create the estimate.

Press New, the system will navigate you to the estimate interface, then you can follow the step of estimate processing.



After the estimate is approved or validated, you can update the new sales’ price to the quotation, then continue the sales processing.
