Shipment Status Template¶
What is Status Template?¶
Shipment Status Template is list of standard titles used to name tracking updates.
Each time updating shipment progress, employee must select 1 title from this list to describe occurring event.
System default titles:
- Completed
Shipment has completed entire journey
- On Track
Update notifying shipment is proceeding according to plan
- Import Customs Clearance
Shipment is clearing import customs
- Export Customs Clearance
Shipment is clearing export customs
- Incident
Incident occurred with shipment (damage, loss, delay…)
- Cancelled
Shipment has been cancelled
Difference Between Stage and Status Template¶
Many people confuse 3 concepts: Stage, Status Template, and Tracking Status:

- Shipment SHP001:
Current Stage: Customs Clearance (at customs clearance step - displayed on shipment form)
Latest Tracking Update: “Import Customs Clearance - Clearing at Cat Lai Port” (title of latest tracking)
How to Create New Status Template¶
Access Freight Forwarder > Configuration > Other > Status Templates
Click Create
Fill in information:
- Name:
Short name, clearly describing event
Example:
Arrived at Port,Container Loading,Payment Issue
Tip
When should you create new template?
- Only create new template when:
Have special event frequently occurring in your company workflow
Want to clearly classify types of tracking updates
Need to report statistics by event type
Default templates are sufficient for most cases.
