What is Shipping Method?

Shipping Method is the way to pack/load cargo onto transport vehicles.

Sea Freight:
  • FCL (Full Container Load) - Full container.

  • LCL (Less than Container Load) - Less than container load (consolidated).

  • Bulk Cargo - Bulk cargo (coal, rice, cement…).

  • Break Bulk - Large bulk cargo (machinery, steel…).

Air Freight:
  • Express - Fast

  • Economy - Economical

  • Priority - Priority

  • Consolidated - Consolidated

Land Transport:
  • FTL (Full Truck Load) - Full truck

  • LTL (Less than Truck Load) - Less than truck load (consolidated)

  • Project Cargo - Project cargo (oversize, overweight)

How to Manage Shipping Methods

  1. Access Freight Forwarder > Configuration > Other > Shipping Methods

  2. System already created common methods

  3. You can add new or edit according to needs

Information to Fill

Name:

Short, clear name

Example: FCL, LCL, Express Air

Applicable for Sea:

Tick if this method is for sea freight

Applicable for Air:

Tick if this method is for air freight

Applicable for Land:

Tick if this method is for land transport

Note

One method can apply to multiple modes!

Example: Express can be used for both Air and Land.
