Choose the right inventory flow to handle your receipts¶

Some enterprises have a more-than-one-step flow in handling goods receipts, such as locations for counting, gathering, and quality control in front of the warehouse, before being stored away. Therefore, it’s necessary to control these gathering and quality control locations as well.

Viindoo inventory management understands these differences and offers three ways for you to choose:

One step: Receive goods directly from the provider in stock;
Two steps: Receive goods in input location then stock;
Three steps: Receive goods in input location, go through quality control before being stocked.

Activate Multi-Step Routes¶

By default, a warehouse is configured with the one-step route method.

To enable the multi-step routes feature, go to Inventory ‣ Configuration ‣ Settings, check the box Multi-step Routes ‣ Save.

To configure the route for a specific warehouse, click Set Warehouse Routes after activating Multi-Step Routes, and select your desired warehouse. This warehouse’s information will be displayed.

In the Warehouse Configuration tab, select an incoming shipment type then press Save.
