How to use your own domain name¶

Viindoo not only provides the subdomain for customers to use but also allows them to set up the website with domains they already own.

This article will guide you on how to set up using your own domain.

Note

To own a website domain, you need to buy a domain name and store it at a web hosting.

After building your website is accomplished, use one of the following methods to set up your domain name for the site:

Method 1: Navigate to Website ‣ Configuration ‣ Settings.
- Assume you have already configured the multi-website management. Locate to the Select the Website to Configure section. Your websites will be listed here. Select the one that you want to set up.
  
  Note
  If you have not done the multi-website configuration, you can skip this step.
- Scroll down to the Website section, the Domain option is now available. Enter your domain name here.
- Press Save to save the changes.
Method 2:
- Activating Developer Mode (debug mode).
- Navigate to Website ‣ Configuration ‣ Websites.
- On this view, select the website you want to set your domain for.
- Press Edit and enter your domain name on the Website Domain field.
- Press Save to save the changes.
