Quang Thang Refrigeration Engineering kicks off digital transformation with Viindoo

A made-to-order factory in Hai Phong starts its enterprise management project, and the knots it shares with the rest of the industry.

On 29 October 2026 in Hai Phong, Quang Thang Refrigeration Engineering Company Limited - a made-to-order manufacturing business - and Viindoo signed the contract to implement the Viindoo enterprise management solution. The project started right after the ceremony, opening the stretch of road on which Quang Thang brings its whole operation onto one shared set of data.

In made-to-order manufacturing, no two orders are alike. Each one arrives with its own drawing, so the quotation, the product structure and the production plan are built again almost from scratch. That is the ground the project starts from.

A factory that both sells from a catalogue and designs to order

Quang Thang Refrigeration Engineering Company Limited is based in Hai Phong, with a workforce approaching 100 people. The company designs and manufactures heat exchange products: condensers, evaporators, coils, condensing units and chillers. Part of the output is sold from an existing catalogue; the rest is designed to each partner's own requirement.

What Quang Thang set out to solve

Quang Thang came into this project with a clearly stated problem. Selling from a catalogue and designing to order at the same time means every order arrives as a new file, and the company set three objectives for the work ahead. They are objectives much of the industry shares, because they are less about the shop floor than about how detailed the data is and where it stops flowing.

Shorten the time to a quotation

Every order carries its own drawing, so the pricing file is built almost from scratch each time. The aim is to start from what the company already knows instead of from a blank page.

Carry the order through to the workshop

Once a price is agreed, the same figures should travel on to production instead of being entered a second time.

See progress without having to ask

Planning and progress in one place, so management can read where an order stands at the moment a decision is needed.

The three share one root cause: the drawings, the spreadsheets and the calculations sit on individual machines rather than in one place. The knowledge of how a product was built last time leaves the company whenever the person who built it does.

The foundation that made-to-order manufacturing needs

Made-to-order manufacturing on one data flow: sales, purchasing, inventory, production, accounting and HR connected in the Viindoo solution model

The point is not each function on its own, but the loop they form when they share one set of data.

The project puts those pieces on one data flow, which is what made-to-order manufacturing has always lacked. Pricing, the product structure, the production order and the progress of the work stop being separate records kept by separate people and become one chain that anyone with the right role can read from end to end.

None of this decides anything on its own. A person still sets the selling price and still judges what a job is worth. What changes is that the judgement now starts from a record the system produced rather than from someone's memory of a similar order.

The foundation for Quang Thang to carry out its growth strategy

The point of the project is not to swap one tool for another. It is to put the quotation, the material list, the production order and the progress of the work on one line of data, so that a design made once does not have to be rebuilt, and so that a manager can see where the shop floor stands at the moment a decision is needed.

The value of that does not stop at lighter office work. For a manufacturer working to order, competitiveness is measured in how fast the customer gets an answer: a quotation that comes back quickly and holds up, a delivery date based on what the workshop is actually doing rather than on a guess, and a straight answer when a customer asks where their order stands. Those are the things a customer feels, and the things that bring them back with the next order.

Over time, every order that passes through the system leaves a record that can be reused: the bill of materials, the operations, the real cost. The more orders go through, the thicker that foundation becomes, and the more confidently the company can take on larger and more complex work without losing control of it. That is a basis for a growth strategy, not merely a management tool.

Viindoo is walking that road with Quang Thang: standardising the processes, bringing scattered data into one place, and staying with the team until the system is genuinely running in the workshop.
