What it does
On the Lots/Serial Numbers form, the system shows the list of the maintenance requests related to a specific equipment lot/serial number and its components which helps to fasten and simplify the tracking process.

1. Automatic equipment creation at product arrival
Create an equipment-typed product and enable the Tracking by unique serial number feature. Next, create a purchase order and receive the product as an equipment. Navigate to Maintenance > Equipments, equipment is automatically created in the Maintenance app with the respective serial number of the product received at the warehouse. Example: You receive at the warehouse the following equipment:
2. Add equipment parts by hierarchy
On the equipment view, select the one that this equipment is a part of in the Directly apart of field. The list of components/direct parts and recursive parts (components of the direct part).
In this example, let's configure a desktop set with the following parts:
- A computer;
- A keyboard with a trackpad as the component.
3. Create a maintenance request for an equipment part
In the Maintenance app, create a new maintenance request for the keyboard and its component.
After adding all the necessary information, you can change the maintenance request stage accordingly and follow the maintenance process.
4. Track maintenance request quantity on the Lots/Serial Numbers view
Navigate to Inventory > Products > Lots/Serial Numbers, and search for the lot/serial number of the desktop set. On the screen's right corner, there is a smart button counting the number of maintenance requests for its parts.
Note: When you create a maintenance request for different parts of equipment, the number of requests for those parts will also be displayed on the serial/number of the main kit.
