Incoterms on Logistics Quotations
The Incoterm is agreed with the customer while the quotation is still being negotiated - it decides who pays which leg and where risk changes hands. Operations then need that same term on the shipment, because the charges, the booking and the documents all follow from it.
This module carries the term across at confirmation, so nobody retypes it and the two documents cannot disagree.
Key Features
- Confirming a logistics quotation writes its Incoterm onto the shipment it creates - the operations team reads the term the customer actually agreed to, not a value typed a second time.
- A quotation with no Incoterm leaves the shipment's own term untouched - the handover states what was agreed and invents nothing.
