Key features
Days to confirm, stored on the order - the sales cycle as a number you can average, Amount paid and amount residual computed from the invoices, on the order and on each line, A searchable Has Discount flag, for finding the orders that were discounted, Sales analysis in list, graph and pivot from one menu, Everything stored, so it groups and filters without a custom report
Key Features
A sales order in Odoo knows what it is worth and whether it is invoiced. It does not know how long it took to be confirmed, how much of it has actually been paid, or how much is still outstanding - which are the three questions a sales manager asks about a quarter. This app computes them and stores them: days to confirm from quotation to order, amount paid and amount residual from the invoices behind it, a discount flag that is searchable, and the same figures per order line. On top sits a sales analysis that opens as a list, a graph or a pivot from its own menu.
As a graph
The same analysis in graph form.
How It Works
Two screens.
1
Read the orders as analysis
The same order data with the computed figures, ready to group by customer, period or salesperson.
2
Change the shape, not the data
List, graph and pivot are three menu entries on the same analysis - which is usually faster than rebuilding a filter.
3
The orders themselves
Nothing changes in how orders are made; the numbers appear on them.
What You Get
Days to confirm, stored on the order - the sales cycle as a number you can average
Amount paid and amount residual computed from the invoices, on the order and on each line
A searchable Has Discount flag, for finding the orders that were discounted
Sales analysis in list, graph and pivot from one menu
Everything stored, so it groups and filters without a custom report
More Screens
Everything below was taken on a database seeded with real business data, on this series - not a mock-up and not a screenshot from an older version.

What This App Does Not Do
Read this before you buy. Everything below is something the app deliberately leaves to another app or to you.
It is not a forecast.
Everything here is measured from orders that exist.
Paid amounts follow the invoices.
An order with no invoice shows nothing paid, which is correct rather than optimistic.
No commission or target logic.
Targets are the Sales Target app; this measures what happened.
Works Well With
Apps from the same stack, built to fit this one:
Sales Target
The number these figures are measured against.
to_sales_target
Who Should Use Sales Reports?
Sales manager
Measures the cycle instead of estimating it.
Credit control
Sees what is still owed against the order, not only against the invoice.
Analyst
Pivots orders by any of those figures without writing SQL.

How to use this module
Instruction video: Sales Reports
Required concepts
A few concepts you need to know when using this module:
- Days to confirm: Auto-calculated by the system with the formula Days to confirm = Confirm date - Creation date.
- Creation date: The day that the order is created in the system, this is different from the Quotation date.
- Invoicing status:
- Fully invoiced: All the products in this sale order have been invoiced (invoiced quantity = quantity on the sale order).
- To invoice: A sale order that has any product with the invoiced quantity < the quantity on the sale order.
- Upselling Opportunity: A sale order with the Delivered quantity > the quantity on the sale order = Invoiced quantity. This means the upselling quantity hasn't been invoiced yet.
- Nothing to invoice: The remaining cases.
- Cohort report: Is used to analyze the behaviors of the groups that have the same features in their processes, thereby comparing these groups to find differences and prominent trends.
How to use
1. Adding more measurements and criteria for the reports
Navigate to Sales > Reporting > Sales:
- At the Measures will add the Days to confirmed criteria to help analysis, evaluation and measurement of closing time by salesperson, by product, etc.
- Add more criteria about Invoicing Status to analyze the invoice status of the sale order:
2. Add the Reporting/Dashboard report
Navigate to Sales > Reporting > Dashboard, you can view 4 types of reports on the same interface for visual analysis to come up with an effective sales strategy in here, including:
- Graph reports,
- Pivot reports,
- Cohort reports,
- Quick reports with chosen criteria
3. Add the Has Discount/No Discount on the Quotation/Sales order view
In some cases you will need to filter/group the sales orders that apply or don't apply discounts to help you analyze, you should use the Has discount/No discount filter:
