Viindoo AI - Chat Brain Bridge (viin_ai_chat_brain)
Bridge between the chat assistant (viin_ai_chat) and the knowledge OS
(viin_brain, reached through viin_ai_brain). A conversation that
turned out to be worth keeping stops being a private, disposable transcript
and becomes a durable, attributed knowledge page.
What it adds
- A Save to Brain affordance on a completed assistant turn, and the
/viin_ai/chat/brain/save endpoint behind it.
- viin.ai.chat.message.brain_page_id - link to the generated page
(ondelete='set null', so deleting the page never touches the
conversation). It is also the idempotence anchor: saving the same turn twice
returns the page already there instead of duplicating it.
- action_save_to_brain() - creates a viin.brain.page in a dedicated
AI Conversations vault carrying the full T5 attribution quartet
(is_ai_authored + ai_author_agent_id + ai_author_trace_id +
ai_confidence). The trace recorded is that turn's own trace, so the page
is auditable back to the exact interaction that produced it.
- Question and answer are escaped before they are stored, so a chat answer can
never be saved as live markup.
- Every saved page is restricted to the person who saved it: a conversation
does not become company-wide reading just because it reached the knowledge
base.
Nothing is saved automatically
Only an explicit user action writes a page. Deciding on its own that a
conversation is "valuable" is proactive AI behaviour, and this module does not
do it: completing a conversation writes nothing at all.
Only a completed, traced assistant answer can be saved. A question, an errored
turn, or an answer with no traceability reference is refused with an
actionable message and writes nothing.
Decoupling
A leaf bridge, and the whole reason it is a separate module: neither
viin_ai_chat nor viin_brain gains a dependency on the other. Both
clusters stay installable on their own.
